The Shop

Protect it. Store it. Show it.

The gear I actually use to keep cards worth something — display, protection, storage, inspection and better photos. Picked by a collector, not a catalog.

§ Display

Put it on the wall.

The cards you're proudest of shouldn't live in a box in the closet. Cases and mounts built for slabs and top loaders.

§ Protect

Cheap now, expensive later.

Sleeves and holders cost pennies. A rounded corner costs a grade. This is the least glamorous gear on the page and the most important.

§ Store

Somewhere to put it all.

Binders you can flip through and boxes that stack. If you've got cards in a shoebox right now, start here.

§ Inspect

Look before you submit.

Grading companies see the card under magnification. You should too, before you pay them to tell you what a loupe would have.

§ Shoot

Make the card look like the card.

Better photos sell cards for more, scan more accurately, and film better. Glare is what's costing you — not your phone. Start with the polariser: cheapest thing here, fixes the most.

§ Pokémon

Different cards, different gear.

Pokémon cards are thinner than sports cards and get handled more, so the protection is genuinely different — most players double-sleeve. If you only collect sports, you can skip this whole section.

§ Rip & chase

Go find something.

Live eBay searches, not fixed listings — so what you see is what's actually for sale right now. Price-check anything here on the scanner before you bid.
